Carer Training & Development at Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation
Why Ongoing Carer Training is Essential
Ongoing training is critical to ensuring that carers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
Our carer training schedule will help you stay informed about best practices, your role and responsibilities, and the resources available to you. Participating in our quarterly training sessions will give you the confidence to:
Understand and implement carer support strategies
Learn your rights and responsibilities within the care system
Access helpful resources and support services
Our quarterly training sessions offer valuable knowledge, tools, and resources to help you navigate the unique challenges of OOHC while fostering strong cultural connections for the children in your care
Flexible Training Options
We understand that life can be busy, which is why we offer flexible training options. You can attend our live Zoom training sessions or watch a recorded version at your convenience. This allows all carers to benefit from ongoing education, no matter their schedule.
Everyone who completes the training, whether live or recorded, will receive a Certificate of Attendance, recognising your commitment to development and excellence in care. We also encourage carers to provide feedback after each session, as we continuously strive to improve and tailor our training to meet the needs of the community.
Below you can see our upcoming training dates - these will all be zoom/recorded sessions and a link will be provided to all our current carers closer to the training date. We will also have

Cultural identity and practices that promote strong connections to heritage
Fostering a child’s connection to the Aboriginal community
Building meaningful, culturally relevant relationships
By incorporating Aboriginal culture into everything we do, we aim to provide carers with the knowledge and tools to help children maintain their cultural identity, ensuring they feel connected to their heritage and supported on their journey.
